如果说剧作家和理论家是电影艺术的“设计师”,那么,北京电影学院文学系便是培育中国电影“设计师”的摇篮;今天,文学系在电影理论与创作技巧研究上已经形成了一整套符合中国国情并居世界前列的教学体系,而文学系的毕业生也一直是中国电影剧本创作的主力军。

Since scriptwriters and theorists can be considered as designers of the film art, Screenwriting Department of Beijing Film Academy now proudly clams itself to be the cradle of Chinese films. Screenwriting Department has established a teaching system which it is advanced and fits perfectly into the Chinese situation, as result its graduates have become a major forces in screenwriting in China.
